Client Project- Design and layout.

I have now begun designing some ideas for my clients new website. In the proposal i have pointed out that they would like the website to be very simple and clean. As there will be so much content on the portfolio section my client has askedfor the other sections to be quite basic so the pages are not overcrowded.

An example of a website my client really likes is the Apple Mac website. He has asked for my design to have the same sort of layout with a navigation at the top, a bold banner in the middle and at the bottom of the page some more direct links to the portfolio section as it is the most important part of the whole website. He wants potential clients to be able to find the portfolio very easily and so would like more than one link to it! He has also mention that he would like a contact button on every page of the website so people dont have to look for it.

At the moment i am in the process of changing the different navigation boxes. I have tried to stick to the same colour scheme that GS2 already have on their current website as it is carried on throughout the design on business cards, letterheads etc. The orange is part of the companies identity so is important to my client that it stays throughout the design. whilst talking to my client we have divided the portfolio into three main sections; Logo design, printed literature and website design. My client is currently selecting the work that he would like to be included in the website for each section.
